I think there's a persona I adopt when I'm up there you know which is
different from my offstage persona so in some ways it's a mask. In our
culture we always look on masks as something we hide behind but in a
lot of other cultures there actually instruments you can be release
through. I know there's a part of me which is naturally shy and
apologetic and I know that's devastatingly boring to watch so you know
I want to get out of that..

The mask is the means to open up and express parts of yourself that
are only hidden away and I think the performance gives me that.

Are we sitting comfortably then I'll begin actually the way this goes
tonight is in three parts it's a bit like a meal start off with the
starter and that's an acoustic bit so we play with the house lights
on with acoustic instruments a bit what we might do when working stuff
out then we get onto the savoury course that's a bit more electronic
little bit darker in flavour and if you survive that then you get to
desert which is the fall the full album from so top to bottom uninterrupted.....
